The Sun Is Back!

Here I was on my walk today trying my best to hide from the camera for some reason. The weather has been so mild and we're happy to have lots of sunshine again. There was almost no snow here in Toronto all winter, but maybe we'll still get a bit more of the white stuff. I sure hope so! I love to play in the snow :)

If the weather stays this mild I'll be going for grooming soon! YAY! but today my coat is fluffy. I've been trimmed around the face, but it's definitely time for a new hairdo.

There's not much new going on with me. Everyday I try my best to be a good girl and everyday I still get barked at by mom, but she says I'm growing up a wee bit. I help mom with her work and she's opening a studio and gallery right here in the house so that will mean lots of new visitors. YAY!

Mom says I've been remarkably sane this past 6 months and that living with me has become almost tolerable. Here's another picture of my fluffy look. This photo was taken in September when I thought we were going on vacation (so I am smiling) but apparently I was going to the country club and they got to go to Block Island.

Hi Amy!
We can't believe that you didn't get to go to Block Island with your hoomans! We hear it's pretty nice there!
Mom keeps threatening me with the grooming clippers too! That's okay - we like to be cool when it's hot, right?

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Hi there. Good to hear from you. We think that you are definitely a good girl and perhaps just misunderstood the rest of the time. The same thing happens to us. Apparently at one stage when Inky was a puppy, Pinkie was willing to "return" her, being totally misunderstood...then the Pinkie came to grips with herself...
How exciting for your pinkie to open up her own studio gallery. We hope the punters will visit in droves...

Hi Inky and Molly!
well you are SO right. I am SO misunderstood around here that it makes me wanna howl.

Mom no longer wishes to return *me* for a full refund - so that's a good thing. But when I've gotten into their stuff when I know I'm not supposed to... well, then they say I've got lots more work to do before I "come to grips with myself".

I turn 3 this year. Maybe I have more growing up to do ?? Or, then again, maybe I'll always be this silly. dunno.

often mom says I am *wonderful*, a 'true marvel of creation' and the most incredible breed of dog that she's had the pleasure to know.

Mom and dad *do* say they immediately fell in love with my affectionate nature, quick wit, hooman-like antics and fearlessness.

but yep, they're still having probs understanding that the flipside to all my remarkable attributes is the holy terror aspect... it's them, not me.
smiles,
~Amy

Hi Maggie and Mitch!
thanks for the great comments you always leave for me :)

You are SO right that Block Island and dogs were made to go together! When they go back they promise to take me. The ferry is pet friendly and the atmosphere is wonderfully casual... great for dog lovers and their furry friends.

Dad needed to use up some RCI timeshare type points when he booked that Block Island vacation and he only found one qualifying property on all of Block Island (a Shell Vacations property I think) so he took it... but like most of those darn timeshare places that resort didn't accept dogs. No fair!

Anyhow, there are lots of great places on Block Island that allow dogs so they'll book directly next time and they promise to take me! whoohoo..... I love car rides!
hugs,
~Amy
